Mute Racks are always under development
Mute Racks are always under development
Named after a friend, trumpet player and college teacher, MA had several feature requests:
1. Extend out further from the stand pole.
2. Collapse or fold to take less space in the case.
3. Easier to open clamp for one handed operation.
4. Large rings. He says no one uses a Humes and Berg straight mute, so I need not worry about a mute falling through the loop.
In addition I added a couple of other features he did not ask for:
5. Vinyl attachment to make installation on Hamilton wire music racks easier. Also aids installation on Humes and Berg dance band front vertical supports. (Now standard on model 2)
6. Locking swivel mechanism allows mute rack to clamp to horizontal surfaces such as the lip of a music stand or dance band front.
Bear in mind that this is a quick prototype to show the concept and not a finished product! (The wire rings will not be bent coat hangers!)
